Emil Billman – Founder
Emil Billman started TransPay in 1998. In the past several years mergers and consolidations have earmarked the merchant processing industry. One of the results of these mergers and consolidations has been the emerging of new Independent Sales Organizations called ISO’s, by some of the most progressive and innovative sales management people from these companies. That is certainly true as far as TransPay Processing is concerned.
Emil Billman owned and managed a large commercial printing business in New York City. Mr. Billman based his success on providing a high quality of service that was not usually prevalent in the printing business. Mr. Billman built a strong relationship with his clientele such as American Express, American International Group, Citicorp, The New York Stock Exchange and other companies. He sold his business in 1988, retired and moved to the Palm Springs area. He then developed a company specializing in sports representation and related events.
Eventually, Mr. Billman became involved with Bancard, Inc. His eight years in the bankcard industry is keynoted by developing key accounts with large national multi unit companies such as Jose Eber Salons, Color Me Mine stores, Ruby’s Diners, Tony Roma’s and so on. His success was also attributed to hard work and excellent customer service. Upon the merger of Bancard into the NOVA structure, he created TransPay Processing in 1996.
Harriet Weissberger is another key employee who also has background in the banking and processing business. Harriet is the company Controller and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is employed part time and manages the financial aspects of the company.
These people altogether have years of experience in the bankcard industry. Couple that experience with the dedication, hard work and past successful business experience of its owners and employees, TransPay Processing has quickly become a top rated ISO. TransPay Processing currently represents well over 1500 merchants and does over $500 million in annual processing volume for MasterCard and Visa.
American Express also lists them as one of the most successful External Sales Agents.
Mitchell Billman – President
As company President Mitchell Billman oversees all day-to-day business operations. Consistently monitoring industry news and changes, he keeps a sharp eye on new technology that will benefit our merchants processing needs. Prior to joining TransPay, Mitchell owned and managed a successful online retail business at the young age of 25 with yearly revenue exceeding a quarter of a million dollars. He moved to Utah to start a family and later returned to the Coachella Valley to take over the business when his father retired. With over 22 years of direct sales experience, Mitchell built strong relationships with his clients therefore bringing in key accounts that have remained with us to this day. Mitchell’s years of experience and dedication to make credit card processing the best possible experience for our merchants, has made TransPay Processing a top ISO from coast to coast.
Kristy Razo- Director of Operations
Kristy began working for TransPay in March of 2004 as our Front Office Receptionist. With her strong drive to succeed, and impeccable work ethic she was promoted to Director of Operations in April of 2006. Providing more than 10 years of Merchant services experience and showing astonishing leadership success she is in charge of managing all processes for Underwriting, Risk Assessment, Chargeback Analysis, Sales Agent Management and Customer Service.
